Orlando Sentinel Selects Liki Tiki Village and The Cove for the Best Resort Pools in Florida
In July, the Orlando Sentinel selected Liki Tiki Village's Liki Tiki Lagoon Water Adventure and The Cove On Ormond Beach's beachfront activity deck as two of the best 21 resort pools in Florida.
Liki Tiki Village is a Central Florida favorite in large part due to its 1.5-acre, 220,000-gallon on-site water feature, Liki Tiki Lagoon Water Adventure. Opened in 1998, it was the first aquatic amenity of its kind built by a timeshare developer. It combines the atmosphere of a resort swimming pool and the excitement of an interactive play area. Available to all Island One Resorts owners and guests, it includes water slides, a simulated wave pool, a water-spouting volcano, a toddlers' area, a dancing fountain, lounging decks, water volleyball, a children's play area and Shipwreck Sally's Bar & Grill, which offers poolside food, refreshments and entertainment. It has a capacity of 600 guests. For the adults, there are two other swimming pools and outdoor hot tubs on property. The 64-acre gated resort is located seven miles from Walt Disney World Resort.
Located directly on the beach on the eastern Florida coast, The Cove offers the quiet charm of Ormond Beach as well as the excitement of Daytona Beach, just one beach south. Owners and guests enjoy fun in the sun on over 150 feet of sandy beach. The oceanfront activity deck features a two-story tube slide, zero-entry access and a mini lazy river. There is also an indoor heated swimming pool and an outdoor hot tub.
